919 Marketing, one of the region’s top sports marketing firms, has been featured in the April 27 issue of Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal.

919 created a marketing program where State Water Heaters is using NASCAR legend Ward Burton as an official spokesperson in 2009 to host numerous, private events at NASCAR tracks around the country for the company’s customers and prospects.

The program was dubbed ‘unique’ and one ‘that has allowed State to keep its vibrant hospitality program at the track,’ by Sports Business Journal staff writer Michael Smith.

919 Marketing CEO David Chapman was also quoted in the article.

‘With a car sponsorship, you get a limited amount of time with the driver,’ Chapman stated. ‘With Ward, State gets him all day. It’s like instead of going to watch Michael Jordan play basketball, you get to sit next to him during the game. The customers are watching the race unfold and they get to hear Ward talk about what’s happening.’
